React Job: Bioinformatics Engineer

The role:

• Bioinformatician with advanced experience in programming and in-depth understanding of biological data and big data analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Develop bioinformatics tools, Interpreting large scale biological data
• Develop and maintain pipelines integrating every part of the Nuritas technology
• Work with data scientists and lab members to understand their requirements
• Bring requirements to life: from ideas to production
• Participate in technical meetings and contribute to new solutions

Requirements

• Degree in a STEM subject
• 3+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in biological software and algorithm development
• Background in Python and JavaScript (required)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and TDD
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Candidates who were part of inventing/coding recognised publicly available bioinformatics or chemistry software are highly desired
• Experience in industry or both industry and academia is appreciated
• Proficiency with standard bioinformatics tools (protein databases, alignments, etc.)

Following experiences/competences would be a plus:

• Django, ReactJS
• Container solutions (Docker)
• Cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, etc)
• Development and maintenance of AI models
• Statistics
